Professional Conduct
All Members sign up to our 'Code of Professional Conduct'.
The The Paralegal Society is not a Regulator but the Code ensures all our Paralegal Members are held to a high professional standard, whether employed or self employed.
Adherence to the Code demonstrates to Employers and Clients alike that Members take their professional responsibilities seriously.

There are no minimum requirements for Affiliate Membership.
This Membership grade is available to anyone who has been working in a Paralegal role for less than three years and does not have a relevant (Level 4) qualification.
NB Individuals interested in becoming a Paralegal may also join as Affiliates.

MEMBERSHIP

Full Membership is available to an individual who has been working in a Paralegal role for at least three years or works in a Paralegal role and has a relevant Level 4 qualification.
The Paralegal Society Onboarding team will assess their work experience and any qualifications to determine the appropriate Membership grade.

FELLOW MEMBER

Fellow Membership is available to senior Paralegals. Applicants will usually require a qualification at Level 6 or equivalent in their field or six years relevant experience.
Fellow Memberships may be offered to those running their own Paralegal Law Firm or working at a senior level in other organisations.
